The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Saturday night qualified for the quarter final of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The match, which was played at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, saw the Super Eagles winning its neighbouring football rival Cameroon by
2 goals to 0
The first goal was scored during the first half and the second goal during the second half.

The Super Eagles had qualified for the Round of 16 match after finishing second in Group A behind Equatorial Guinea.
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon qualified for the round of 16 after finishing second in Group C behind the title holder Senegal.
The Lions had defeated Gambia 3-2 in a thrilling contest at the Stade Charles Konan Banny de Yamoussoukro on Tuesday night.
In the Super Eagles and Lions last encounter in Egypt in 2019, at the same stage, Nigeria defeated Cameroon 3-2.
In all, the two countries have won eight Africa Cup of Nations titles between them.
While the Eagles won the titles in 1980, 1994 and 2013, the Lions won in 1984, 1988, 2000, 2002 and 2017.
