Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday night defeated Nigeria 2-1 to lift their third Africa Cup of Nations title in front of home crowd in Abidjan.
While William Troost-Ekong gave Nigeria the lead seven minutes before the half time break, Cote d’Ivoire equalised through Franck Kessie, and Sebastien Haller netted the winning goal for Cote d’Ivoire in the second half of the game.
The Super Eagles tried hard to equalise but were not successful.
