EFCC In Bauchi Nabs 27 Internet Fraudsters

Some operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested about 27 suspected internet fraudsters in Bauchi State.

They were arrested by the EFCC on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

This was disclosed by the anti-graft agency in a statement on Friday, February 23. 

It said that the suspected internet fraudsters were apprehended at D&D Apartment and Bubes Hotel in the Yelwa area of Bauchi State.

It also noted that the arrest of the suspects followed credible information on their suspected involvement in internet-related offences.

The EFCC revealed that a BMW car, iPhones, iPads, laptops, and a desktop computer were recovered from the suspected internet fraudsters.

The commission added that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
