Osimhen May Miss Super Eagles Semi-Final Match Against South Africa

Under probability, illness may rule out Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen from playing the semi-final match against South Africa in the ongoing 2023 AFCON tournament in Cote d’Ivoire. 

Victor Osimhen, according to camp sources was suffering from abdominal discomfort and could not travel with his Super Eagles teammates as they departed Abidjan for Bouake on Monday night.

He stayed behind in Abidjan with one of the team’s medics.

The striker will be further assessed on Tuesday morning and if cleared, will join the rest of the team in Bouake later in the day.

The Super Eagles will take on the Bafana Bafana at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake on Wednesday.
