Towards sanitizing the financial system in Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of a new management team for the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON),
The new team is to be confirmed by the Nigerian Senate before stepping into the new roles.
The President appointed Gbenga Alade as the Managing Director/CEO of AMCON.
The three Executive Directors appointed are Aminu Ismail, Adeshola Lamidi and Lucky Adaghe.
The President, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, expected unflagging dedication, professionalism, and dutifulness from the new appointees.
"So as to ensure that the operations of AMCON are more efficient, transparent, and in consonance with his determination to sanitize the nation's financial system to maximize value and enhance investor confidence in the Nigerian economy," the statement stated.
