*Says There Will Be Consequences
Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Friday expressed dismay over the ongoing Ramadan Feeding program in the Kano metropolis.
The governor said he was disappointed with the program during an impromptu visit to one of the feeding centres in Gidan Maza, Municipal Local Government Area.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Governor also expressed his dissatisfaction with the conduct of the program handlers, whom he believes are depriving the intended beneficiaries.
"We will not accept dishonesty and mismanagement of public resources. It is imperative to note that the allocated funds for this initiative are meticulously documented at each centre” the Governor cautioned
The Governor conducted the inspection following intelligence reports implying deficiencies in the management of the feeding program at various centres across the metropolis.
