A student has been reported to have died from clashes between rival cult groups at the Federal University of Technology, (FUTO) Owerri.
The clash by the rival cult groups, which took place in the institution on Friday morning, also left many persons injured.
A reliable source in the institution had disclosed in confidence that trouble started when a group of Imo State University (IMSU) students entered the FUTO campus on motorcycles, which caused confrontation by the FUTO students.
It was reported that the FUTO Man O War commander was fatally stabbed in the neck by one of the IMSU students during the confrontation.
That was said to have led to his death.
