For his relentless commitment and support to the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. George Akume, has been commended.
The commendation was given when Sen. George Akume received a delegation of Yoruba Community in the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory in his office.
The SGF who appreciated the thoughtfulness and commendation explained that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is not only his leader but a dependable and reliable partner of many years.
In a statement by the Director Information In SGF, Segun Imohiosen Senator Akume said "Asiwaju and I have come far from time immemorial especially the days of our administration as Governors of our States.
"The President meant well for the country and you can see in the continuous initiatives rolling out from every sector of the economy to cushion the effect of subsidy removal. The sacrifices will yield tremendous improvement in every aspect of our lives in no distant time."
Sen. Akume acknowledged that the Yoruba Community in Northern States is one out of many uniting and strengthening the harmonious relationship among tribes.
He expressed his joy in the integration and co-existence of different tribes in Nigeria.
Speaking earlier, His Royal Highness Ambassador Mohammed Arigbabuwo, Chairman Council of Yoruba Traditional Obas & Chiefs in the 19 Northern States & Abuja, who led the delegation
extended heartfelt congratulations to the SGF.
His Royal Highness described Sen. George Akume's appointment as the SGF as a renewed sense of hope and a promising future for the nation.
He particularly applauded the SGF's commitment to serving the people and his vision for progressive partnership to actualise the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's mandate.
