The Super Eagles head coach Finidi George has turned down the choice of Daniel Amokachi and Emmanuel Amuneke as his assistants.
While Finidi’s appointment was confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) this week, there is however still need to appoint his assistants and other members of the backroom staff.
Amokachi and Amuneke are among the two names reportedly penciled down as assistant coaches to the new Head Coach
The duo had also applied for the Super Eagles head coach job.
A report in SCORENigeria. said Finidi is not comfortable to work with either of the two.
He wants to pick his own assistants rather than work with the two.
The NFF had previously announced that the new Super Eagles coach will be given the free hand to pick his assistants
