To give Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) sense of belonging, the Federal Government has urged the general public to desist from a non-challant attitude and to continue to show them affection through their wealth and kindness.
The advice was given by the Coordinating Minister of Health & Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammed Alli Pate, through the Director of Special Project, Dr. Charles Nzelu, during the distribution of Drug & Essential Health Materials to IDPs Camps in Kuchigoro, Lifecamp & Durumi IDPs Camp, Area 1, Abuja.
The Minister reiterated the government's preparedness toward accessibility to free drug and other health materials in accordance with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu's Administration.
According to a statement by the Director, Media & Public Relations. FMOH & SW, Patricia Deworitshe, the Minister advised the authorities of the 2 IDPs Camp to take opportunity of Federal Government gesture to use the Drug & other Valuable Health Materials judiciously for the Benefit of Internally Displaced Peoples.
He promised the government's continuous efforts toward creating an enabled environment for its citizenry through Health Care Services.
In their separate responses, Mr. Luka Yathuma of Kuchigoro IDP's Camp commended Federal Government's for the initiative at this crucial time.
He called on the government to do more in order to reduce the acute suffering of IDPs.
On her part, Mrs.Liyatu Ayuba Women Leader of Durumi IDP's Camp appreciated the Federal government & Ministry of Health & Social Welfare, for coming to their aids & promised to handle the material appropriately.
The drugs & essential health materials, which are worth Millions of Naira, were delivered respectively to each IDP's Camp Coordinators.
