President Tinubu Leaves Abuja Monday For France

President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to embark on a trip to France on Monday, August 19, departing from Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The President, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, will return to the country after his brief work stay in France.

Recall that the Presidency is in the process of vacating the order of the Judicial Court of Paris, France on the seizure of three presidential jets.

A Chinese firm, Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Company, had taken the case to the court.

The Presidency last week claimed that the seizure was as an attempt to strip Nigeria of her assets.

Since then, both the federal and Ogun State governments have been making frantic efforts to vacate the orders obtained by the Chinese company on March 7, 2024, and August 12, 2024, respectively, with a view to securing the release of the planes.
