Impressed with preparations to host the forthcoming African Chiefs of Defence Staff Summit 2025 in Abuja, the National Council for Civil Society Organisations (NACCSO) has lauded the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher G Musa.
This was disclosed by the Director General of NACCSO, Rt. Comrade Emmanuel Johnny.
According to him, Civil Society Organisations have expressed total satisfaction with General CG Musa's excellent preparation to host the significant event.
NACCSO believed the summit will lead to the promotion of peace and security in Nigeria and across other African nations.
Rt. Comrade Johnny has also called on Nigerians to support the military chief, General CG Musa, and pray for the success of the event.
The event of this magnitude, he said, is poised to promote the international image and prestige of Nigeria, build investors' confidence to invest in Nigeria, create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility for businesses and government policies to thrive.
Rt. Comrade Johnny further urged Nigerians to continue supporting the military by playing a vital role through partnership in the ongoing efforts to keep winning the war against insurgency in Nigeria.
The African Chiefs of Defence Staff Summit 2025 Abuja is scheduled to take place from 25th to 27th August 2025.
NACCSO looks forward to the success of this summit and believes it will mark a significant step in enhancing defence cooperation among African nations, contributing to peace, stability, and development across the continent.
The summit is expected to foster discussions on critical issues affecting defence and security in Africa, including counter-terrorism strategies, peacekeeping operations, and capacity building for African defence forces.
NACCSO is confident that the outcomes of the summit will contribute to strengthening regional security mechanisms and promoting peace and stability in Nigeria and across Africa.
