The Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute for Sports (NIS), His Excellency Comrade Philip Shaibu, on Sunday served as a mass server at Saint Agnes Catholic Church, Wuye, Abuja, in commemoration of this year’s Father’s Day.
Shaibu, a former Deputy Governor of Edo State, participated in the liturgical service in a quiet demonstration of faith and humility, joining other altar servers during the Mass.
His action, according to a statement by Ben Ogbemudia, S. A. Media, Office of the DG NIS, drew the attention of worshippers, many of whom described it as a rare expression of devotion by a public office holder.
The Father’s Day service, which featured special prayers for fathers and families, focused on the values of sacrifice, leadership, and responsibility.

Shaibu prayed for greater fruitfulness and God’s blessings upon all fathers, urging them to remain steadfast in their roles as leaders and mentors within their homes.
