ANUFEST 2026 Set to Showcase Anambra’s Rich Tourism and Culture Potential

The Director General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA) has joined conveners of the Anambra State Unity Festival to announce the upcoming landmark event in September.

Mr. Ola Awakan emphasized the festival’s role in strengthening national unity while driving tourism and economic development in Anambra State.

The festival, themed “Experience Anambra: Culture • Tourism • Unity • Enterprise,” promises a vibrant week-long celebration that will bring together stakeholders from across Nigeria and the diaspora to promote Anambra State’s rich heritage and opportunities.

Presented by JT PLAY HUB and Creative Law & Intellectual Property Finance Forum (CLIFF) in collaboration with the Anambra State Ministry of Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, ANUFEST 2026 will feature an exciting lineup of cultural showcases, theatre performances, music concerts, sports activities, business exhibitions, innovation hubs, and high-level networking sessions.

Speaking during the briefing, the Founder of CLIFF, Vitus Ifeanyi Mbah said the festival is scheduled for 21st to 27th September 2026.

“There will be tours to various destinations across the 21 local government areas of Anambra state which people don’t know exist so our aim is to expose them" he added.

He mentioned that, “The event aims to boost tourism, empower young people, and foster greater community pride by drawing participants from all the Local Government Areas of Anambra State, tourists, investors, government officials, and the general public”

Moreso, strategic support for the festival comes from key stakeholders including national institutions like the National Theatre and National Troupe of Nigeria amongst others.
