The United Nations-recognized platform for accredited Civil Society Organizations and Community-Based Organizations in the area of socio-political, economic and democratic development in Nigeria has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for directing the EFCC to unfreeze the Osun State Government account.
A statement by Kunle Yusuff, Director General, CSCHEI, reads "As an accredited civil society platform, we acknowledge the responsibilities and mandate of the EFCC and affirm that any suspicious accounts should be answerable to the appropriate authorities without political interference.
"It is a known fact that some of our members have been collaborating with the EFCC on advocacy and public enlightenment to ensure that all corrupt elements in Nigeria are eliminated by every lawful means.
"We remain committed to working with all agencies of the Federal Government to fight corruption at all levels." it added
Every indicator, the statement noted, has proven that Nigeria has a listening President
"And we use this opportunity to thank the President for giving the operational and administrative directive to unfreeze the Osun State Government account without political interference."
