FG Targets Global Capital as Alake Gears Up for Maiden Nigeria NOW! Investors Expo in November 2026

The Federal Government is ramping up preparations for the maiden Nigeria NOW! Global Investors Expo 2026, aimed at positioning Nigeria as a top destination for strategic investment across key sectors of the economy.

The Expo is scheduled to hold from 19–20 November 2026 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday, August 6, 2026, the Honourable Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake, said the Ministry is proud to support the initiative and confirmed his acceptance to serve as Patron of the inaugural event.

He described the Expo as "a strategic platform for showcasing Nigeria's vast investment opportunities, connecting credible projects with investors, and strengthening collaboration between government, the private sector and development partners."

Dr. Alake, in a statement by Mrs. Kania Maliki Andeyaba, Head, Press and Public Relations Department, noted that the event aligns with the Federal Government’s economic diversification agenda by promoting investments in mining, power, manufacturing, infrastructure, oil and gas, trade and other productive sectors.

He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to transforming the solid minerals sector through value addition, responsible mining, modern technology, transparent regulation and strategic partnerships to create jobs and drive sustainable growth.

The Minister added that the Expo will provide investors with direct access to information on government policies, priority projects, financing, licensing, infrastructure, technology and market access.

He also urged the media to give objective coverage that highlights credible opportunities.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Faruk Yusuf Yabo, described the Expo as an important platform for fostering collaboration among government institutions, investors and development partners.

He pledged the Ministry’s support to ensure a successful outing.

Portfolio Manager and Head of Corporate Development, EnergyNet, Mr. Abdoulaye Sylla, said the Expo is designed to connect global investors with "bankable opportunities" in Nigeria.

"The event will bring together policymakers, financiers, project developers and technology providers to facilitate investment partnerships and project financing.

"EnergyNet will leverage its global network to attract quality investors and position Nigeria as a preferred investment destination," Sylla said.

Organisers expect the Nigeria NOW! Global Investors Expo 2026 to draw investors, financial institutions, project developers, technology companies, development partners and policymakers from Nigeria and around the world.

The goal, according to the Ministry, is to stimulate strategic investments, strengthen public-private partnerships and accelerate sustainable economic growth.
