Team Nigeria at the ongoing Africa Military Games in Nation's Capital is leaving no stone unturned in the quest to carry the day at the end of the games with superlative outing in Wrestling event.
The Nigeria Military harnessed a total of 11 gold 12 silver and 7 bronze at the close of the event bringing the total haul of 30 medals so far.
Team Nigeria also showed strength in taekwondo with four gold medals.
The four gold medalists are; Mohammed Yusuf- men's 54kg category, Bisallah Rejoice - women's 46kg, Ibeh Nancy in women's 49kg, and Anam Glory in women's 53kg.
The Nigerian Armed Forces defeated Ghana at the final of both Men and Women Handball event to clinch 2 gold medals, two gold medals in handball, defeated Ghana in the finals of both the men’s and women’s events.
1,625 athletes from different 21 African countries are participating in the 2nd edition of the Africa Military Games which commenced on Monday and they are competing for medals in 20 different sporting events.
