The. Minister of Education, Prof Tahir Mamman has received a delegation from the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), led by its President, Chief Emeka Akajiugo Obegolu.
During the visit, the ACCI briefed the Minister on the activities of the Chamber, including the proposed plan to set up ACCI Continental University.
This was obtained on a posting on the Minister's X account on Thursday.
It reads "We received a delegation from Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry @ACCINigeria , led by the President, Chief Emeka Akajiugo Obegolu SAN,
"The team briefed us on the activities of the Chamber as well as other arms of the Chamber like the Business Entrepreneurship Skills and Technology (BEST) Centre of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), established with the mandate of capacity building and operating a world-class learning Centre to equip individuals and organizations with the relevant capacity to ensure sustainability and enhance productivity as well as promote economic development.
"Also, they intimated us of their plan to establish the ACCI continental University, a multilingual institution that would cater for Africa’s diverse needs and support the African Continental Free Trade Area agreement (AfCFTA)." it stated
