EFCC Declares Ex-Gov Yahaya Bello Wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a nationwide alert, declaring former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, as a wanted man.

The Commission said “The allegations against him are grave, involving economic and financial crimes amounting to a staggering N80.2 billion,” .

This declaration, made on Thursday, April 18th, 2024, marks a significant escalation in the ongoing battle against corruption in the country.

The EFCC has urged the public to come forward with any information that could lead to Bello’s apprehension.

“Citizens are implored to reach out to the Commission directly or contact their local Police Station immediately if they have any leads on his whereabouts.”
