This visit, which took place on 9th June 2025, is part of POWA's ongoing commitment to support vulnerable children in the host communities.
Hajiya Hadiza, during her visit, presented a generous donation which included essential food items, clothing materials, rams, and other valuable supplies aimed at providing for the needs of the children residing in the home.
The gesture, according to a statement by SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, reflected the Association's dedication to uplifting the lives of less privileged children and reinforcing the spirit of community support.
The representative of the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Women Affairs, Children and Disabled, Kano, Mallam Muhammad Sambo Iliiyasu, the statement said, expressed gratitude towards POWA for their selfless contributions and unwavering support for the community.
He emphasized that such initiatives not only improve the lives of children but also foster a sense of unity and responsibility among the members of the Police force and their families.
He commended the Police in Kano for their efforts in providing security at the Home and also the good work the State Commissioner of Police is doing in keeping Kano State safe.
"The Kano State Police Command commends the POWA's kind gesture and encourages other organizations and individuals within the State to engage in similar philanthropic activities to further support and empower the less privileged." the statement stated
